Duties and Responsibilities:  Convey characters and express emotions as an actress learn and know all about stage and film production to become a successful actress. Entertain film and stage audiences with natural acting talents of an actress. Perform on television and commercials and photo shoots. Coordinate with the director, photographer, production team and fellow actors and actresses. Perform as an actress in movies, stage plays, television soaps, and radio plays.

Salary: $53,554 with a range usually between $44,131-$65,387.

Education:  During an actress's career, she may have to continue her education and training by enrolling in advanced acting workshops and seminars to gain further knowledge of the craft. The BLS states that actresses are expected to learn new skills throughout their careers. For example, an actress may need to know how to play an instrument or read lines in a foreign language.
